The Tillerman Model Yacht Club was founded in 1979 as a model yacht racing club in the fold of the American Model Yacht Assoiciation. The Club is part of the Leisure World recreation department, a private retirement community, located at 908 Power Road, Mesa AZ and is open to outside membership on a limited basis.

The Club sails Marblehead sailboats and the 36-600 class sailboats in formal racing on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:00 am and informal open class sailboat racing on Wednesday afternoons at 12:00 noon.

The Club also hosts its annual regatta in March. We would like to invite people new to the sport and experienced sailors to join us at out beautiful private lake and to take part in a fascinating hobby.

The Club has also a under 24 inch fast electric program on Sundays after the morning sailing. Also, the 21 inch Crackerbox runabout is popular.
